Without any karting experience, Julien Gerbi started his career directly with race cars. First testing with Philippe Gautheron’s single seater team, he then competed in prototypes and single seaters for seven years in Europe, North America and Middle-East, scoring wins and podiums on three different continents and reaching the World 100 Future Stars classification in 2007.
After a 10-year break while working on the other side of the wall, he returned to racing through Endurance, competing in his own team in GT and LMP3.
Driver coach, Team Manager, Stuntman, Actor, Speecher. Beside the time spent behind the wheel, Julien Gerbi has many activities connected to motorsport or to driving cars. Having coached more than 80 drivers in the last ten years - several of them making it to F1 and IndyCar - for Virage Academy and Campos Racing, he has also been Team Manager for the BMW Motorsport junior programme, Fragus BR Motorsport in FR 2.0 and Porsche Cup and most recently Team Virage in GT and LMP3.
Stuntman for Lewis Hamilton in the "Mercedes AMG Project One" advertisement and 1920’s speed racer actor for the Toyota "Move Ahead" were some of his activities in front of the camera.
Without family or national back-up to support the early stages of his career, Julien started the MyRaceDriver program when he was just 17 years old, offering to private investors the possibility to purchase « shares » in his career with a potential return on his future salaries and prize money.
From a few euros to several thousands, the program counts with many investors who have trusted in the potential of his career and decided to take on this adventure with him.
